according to mendel, the father of modern genetics... since you both have the gene for dark hair (which is dominant) there is an almost 100% chance of your child(ren) having dark brown hair.

It's really hard to predict because your kids might pick up genes far into your family tree. For example - I'm half Black %26amp; half Italian %26amp; I have very light skin but dark hair %26amp; dark eyes. My husband's Black %26amp; Puerto Rican with dark skin, hair %26amp; eyes. Our kids are my color of skin which is light but they both have golden blond hair %26amp; bright blue eyes. The only person in our entire family that has blond hair and blue eyes is my Italian grandmother.

Who knows really. My hubby and I both were light haired babies and our little one came out with dark hair. She's 4 months and we are just waiting to see if she'll lighten up anytime soon, but I doubt it. Hair color isn't as obvious to figure out as eye color is. If you told me your eye color, I could give you a good percentage as to what your babies eyes will be, but with all the combinations of hair color you have in your family, I'd say you have a good chance at anything.
