Can you dye your hair Any colour at all?

i only ask due to having no knowledge at all about the subject..

i have red hair, im a guy and iv'e nothing against it but it just doesn't suit me.. iv'e been buying a brunette colouring and although at times it's good, red hair is just so unpredictable, so at tiems it will come out black or even worse, as though no dye effected it at all..

if you go to a good salon is it possible to get your hair any colour you ask for? for example could a red head become a brunette with blonde highlights?

Sadly you've picked up on a big hair issue, the unpredictable nature of red hair. It is THEORETICALLY possible for that to work on you, but only a salon will be able to tell you for sure with strand tests. When dying your hair brown go for a shade lighter than you think you need, as red hair can absorb a lot of colour, like grey hair.

You should make sure to go to a nice hair salon to make sure you have top quality people working on your hair though. Sometimes with the smaller, down-the-street salons they don't have as much product or as good quality so it may not turn out how you want it to.

Yep - if you go to a good salon %26amp; are willing to pay for it, you can color your hair any color at all. Trust me, I dye my hair 3 or 4 times a year (and usually a different color each time!)... my hair is naturally a reddish brown but I'm getting dark chocolate brown with lavender tips sometime this week or next week, I'm excited, lol.

If you wish to become the brunette with blonde highlights that you mentioned, when you go to a salon ask if they have a book that shows the colors they carry (the place I go has one) - that way you can pick out exactly what shade of brown you want and the shade of blonde for the highlights.
