Its a matter of taste, but it depends on the crowd you're going for.

If you're trying to snag an emo guy, go for the emo fashion. I'd suggest medium length hair (a little past the base of your skull, just about to the shoulders) and 2 piercings: One on each ear, for earrings. Black-gem studs would be a bonus, or possibly purple or red earrings, based on your hair color.

If you're going for a regular guy, then have long, single color hair in a girly fashion, with two piercings. This time, go for flashy earrings, or possibly hoop earrings.

This is just my personal taste, though. Many guys like different things.

As a rule I prefer short hair, but it really depends on the shape of the girl's face. Short hair on a chubby girl can sometimes make the face look a bit round. Whilst long hair on a slim girl can make the face look thin and stretched.

I don't know what Emo fashion is, so I will opt for girly.

As for piercings, it depends where. The ears and eyebrow are OK, but I'm not to keen on nose piercings as it looks like a crow (booger) on the side of the nose, and lip piercings make me think of Homer Simpson dribbling.
